Introduction

The CH-1 chorus pedal is one of the longest-running pedals in Boss’s product catalog. While other good chorus effects, such as the CE-20, have been discontinued and or replaced with updated models, the CH-1 remains popular because of its warm sound.
Its old-fashioned circuitry and schematics create a much warmer and vintage voiced chorus than the one you’ll find with modern chorus pedals. While the contemporary pedals have a more straightforward and precise tone, they lack the warmth and sprinkle of grit of the CH-1. That, plus a good range of controls that allow a versatile sound without losing simplicity, and you have the perfect formula.
For over 30 years, the Boss CH-1 has contributed to pedalboards around the glove with countless rock, country, metal, and jazz guitarists, including Joe Satriani, Zakk Wylde, and Rush’s Alex Lifeson. Now it’s your turn to have one!

• DEPTH, determines the intensity of the modulation.
• EFFECT, controls how much the signal is affected.
• EQ, brightens the sound when turned clockwise.
• RATE, controls the modulation speed.
