Nobletube

Project overview

This PCB is loosely inspired by The Keeley Noble Screamer, and it’s our interpretation of the circuit.

The result is a two-in-one overdrive/boost with lots of options, a small footprint, straightforward controls, and plenty of usable tones that can be buffered/true bypass.

Introduction

Nobletube is an entertaining 2-in-1 pedal that gives 4 possible combinations between the gain section and the tone section that lets you craft fresh which tone-control or clipping section you want to play through.

Want those vintage overdrive vibes? No problem. Feel like pushing the boundaries with unique hybrid tones? Go for it. It’s all about what sounds good to your ears.

The good thing is that it remains a simple and easy-to-use three-knob overdrive with two external switches and an internal buffer. Toggle the ODR switch to pick between the ODR1 hard clipping section and TS mode. Tone EQ toggle lets you switch between the ODR1 EQ with a gyrator or the standard TS tone stack. In the internal buffer Position 1, you get the Nobels Buffer, while Position 2 features the Tube Screamer Buffer.
