With these files, you can order PCBs directly from a manufacturer (e.g., JLCPCB, PCBWay) for as little as $2 for 5 boards.
Typical production time is 3 days, and international shipping starts at $12, taking about 4 days via DHL to most locations.

You’re free to edit the design and add your own branding.

Introduction

Before 1978, most distortion pedals could only deliver harsh, dirty, and buzzy tones. That same year, everything changed when BOSS engineers developed a unique distortion circuit. Hard rock, metal, and punk genres thrived in the ‘70s and ‘80s, and there is no doubt that the DS-1’s tone greatly influenced them.

Typical tone controls only cut highs, but the Chief-D1 circuit features an innovative design that offers far more range. When turning the knob clockwise, the highs increases and lows decrease, while going counterclockwise acts vice-versa. This increases the spectrum and lets you dial in everything from tight, cutting rhythm sounds to smooth, fat lead tones.
